Having opened Bryan's Bikes (named after son Bryan) in 1989, George "The bike guy", owned and operated the shop as head mechanic until January 2001. After leaving the business, he took a year off to ride his many bikes, and decide on a direction. Lo and be hold, every point led to another shop.
What's up with the name? When George's daughter Sara was old enough to
realize her brother had a shop named after him, she wanted to know where
her shop was. So dad in his infinite wisdom, made a promise that if
ever there was a new shop, Sara could pick the name. Loving both horses
and bikes, Sara chose "Dark Horse Cycles". Thus, another mystery
exposed. Dedicated to once again serving the cycling community, we are about the sport and pleasure in riding a bike. We are committed to promoting cycling in all aspects, and continue to view our customers as the boss.
